The Swisson XES-8G is a completely unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Switch designed specifically for the entertainment industry. All 8 ports are simple unmanaged switch ports making this versatile switch very easy to use. No need to worry about what traffic is getting through or not.
Being specifically created for creating entertainment industry networks the XES-8G is optimized for simple transmission of Art-Net, sACN and Dante protocols. That said the XES-2T6 is a Layer 2 switch and it will work well with any protocol that operates over Ethernet and TCP/IP protocols. One of the optimizations is that there is no sleep mode when no traffic is observed, which can happen frequently with Art-Net, and the switch is always ready to forward data without delay. There are also no broadcast bandwidth limitations which is great for earlier versions of Art-Net.
To further ensure network reliability the XES-8G offers inputs for two separate power supplies leaving you with a redundant power source if required.
